Ukraine's largest oil producer increases production fourfold
Thanks to in-house developments, specialists from the Ukrainian company "Ukrnafta" have increased the oil well flow rate fourfold — from 14.5 to 60 tons of oil per day.
The company stressed that drilling a new well is just the beginning. The facility needs to operate efficiently, Rubryka reports, citing Ukrnafta.
Thorough testing and research establish the optimal operating mode to ensure maximum flow rate. At depths of 1085-1122 meters, one of the wells yielded a daily industrial influx of 22 tons of oil. Over time, the flow rate decreased to 14.5 tons per day due to the contamination of productive formations.
Then, the company did a major overhaul in January, perforating several more productive formations at depths of 1007-1017 meters and 1018-1065 meters.
Cleaning the formations from contamination, the Ukrnafta specialists applied a large-volume acid treatment of the perforated section using their own improved solution recipe.
"After commissioning, the daily flow rate is 60 tons of oil with almost no water loss. We continue to study the well and adjust its operation to the optimal mode," said the company's director, Serhii Koretsky.
