BBC: Ukrainian forces likely hit Russian training ground in occupied Donetsk region, killing at least 60 troops

On the eve, the Ukrainian military reportedly struck Russian motorized infantry in the occupied Donetsk region when Russian soldiers were specifically waiting for the commander.

The strike, according to various estimates, killed at least 60 occupiers, Rubryka reports, citing the Russian service of BBC.

The publication reported, referring to sources, as well as photos and videos from the scene of the strike, that servicemen of the 36th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade (military unit No. 06705), permanently stationed in the city of Borzya, Zabaykalsky Krai, were at the training ground in formation.

"During the midday of February 20, Ukrainian military, presumably, launched a strike with two HIMARS MLRS missiles at the training ground near the village of Trudivske in the Volnovakha district of the Donetsk region," the Russian BBC service reported.

At the time of the strike, servicemen of this brigade's 4th, 5th, and 6th companies were in formation at the training ground, awaiting the arrival of the 29th Army of the Eastern Military District commander, Major General Oleg Moiseyev.

A Russian soldier who survived the attack reported in a video available to BBC: "Commanders were in the open field."

BBC reported that they have over ten photos and videos taken immediately after the strike from the training ground. Dozens of casualties are recorded. The journalists do not publish these materials, citing ethical reasons.

Overall, at least 60 troops could have been killed, according to various estimates, including those of the servicemen of the 36th brigade themselves. According to the publication, the strikes could have been delivered from the HIMARS MLRS.

In related news, precise strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Makievka on New Year's Eve eliminated about 400 mobilized Russian soldiers. About 300 soldiers sustained injuries.

Yesterday, on February 20, the Ukrainian forces eliminated over 1,100 occupiers. Losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion in live force have already amounted to over 406,000 soldiers.
