Explosions rock Russian-occupied Dzhankoy and Mariupol

Loud explosions were heard in the occupied Crimea near Dzhankoy and in Mariupol, temporarily captured by the Russian invaders.

The Krymskyi Veter (Crimean Wind) Telegram channel and adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, reported this.

Mariupol, Donetsk region

The invaders' henchmen were voicing their annoyance with the noise in the local Telegram channels. Meanwhile, Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of the Ukrainian city, reported that the enemy was shelled.

So, around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, pro-Russian publications in Mariupol began to write about the explosions in Russian-occupied Dzhankoy and Mariupol.

The explosions could be heard from the village of Manhush:

  • "It [the sound] is so strong in Primorsky,"

At the same time, the occupiers claimed that "anti-aircraft defense is working" in the Mariupol area and also called on residents to "keep calm" and "stay in shelters."

"Ooooo! The ambulances are going to the scene. Good. The Manhush district! They say you have it?… Wow. From air defense to ammunition disposal. The stage of acceptance? Russia, what's with your face?" people were joking about the occupying forces on the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Mariupol.Sprovyt".

For his part, Petro Andriushchenko reported on targeting the occupiers in the Manhush part of the Mariupol district.

Back then, the supporters of the occupiers reported on ambulances racing in the opposite direction on Kuprin Street in Mariupol.

"Good. We are waiting for details and a possible photo report," added the city mayor's advisor.

Later, the official emphasized that the sounds of detonation can still be heard near Manhush, which he called "the process of demining of the ammunition warehouse."

According to the channel, one explosion was heard in the Dzhankoy district.

There are no further details of the incident yet.

On January 31, explosions rang out repeatedly in the temporarily occupied Crimea. They were heard both in the Sevastopol area and near Saky. Local Telegram channels published photos and videos showing traces of rockets in the sky.

According to Russian officials, an attack took place at the Belbek airfield in occupied Crimea on January 31, specifically targeting a communication point.

Based on reports from the Russian media, an unknown missile struck the Belbek military airfield. The communication facility of Russian military unit 80159 was targeted in the attack.

In addition, on January 30, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the radar station of the air defense system of the Russian occupiers. The enemy target was located near the village of Rozdolne.
