Russian invaders erect 30 km long defense line using wagons in Donetsk region

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, the Russian invaders built a defensive line made of railway cars. The length of this line is about 30 kilometers.

The continuous construction, as reported by DeepState, stretched for 30 kilometers along the branch from the railway station in Olenivka to Volnovakha and has about 2,100 cars of various types.
The Russians built this structure in July 2023, using wagons stolen from the occupied territories.
"This is a very specific engineering structure, the effectiveness of which is difficult to assess. The idea is clear – an obstacle to the advancement of the Defense Forces. It can be considered as a separate line of defense because it is tough to damage, move, or blow up a 30-kilometer mass of metal, and the movement of equipment through such interference without breaking through the corridor is impossible," DeepState explained.

According to the General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces, 95 combat clashes took place at the front on the last day. The Russian occupiers continue their offensive attempts on the Kupiansk and Avdiivka fronts. At the same time, the Ukrainian military continues to hold positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
- On the Bakhmut front, the Defense Forces repelled 17 attacks in the Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka districts of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve the tactical position. About ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Andriivka of the Donetsk region.
- On the Avdiivka front, Ukraine's defenders repelled 22 attacks in the Avdiivka area and another 16 attacks south of Tonenko, near Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk region. Here, with the support of aviation, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. About 20 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, and Tonenke of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
- On the Mariinka front, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders near Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region. In this direction, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position 28 times. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Antonivka and Kostiantynivka settlements of the Donetsk region. Such settlements of the Donetsk region as Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, and Paraskoviivka came under artillery and mortar fire from the occupiers.
- In the direction of Novopavlivsk, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed an enemy attack north of Priiutne, Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Rivnopil area of the Donetsk region. About ten settlements, including Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Staromayorske of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.
In addition, over the past day, the occupiers lost more than 900 soldiers at the front. The total number of losses of the enemy army personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine has already reached about 395,200 people.
