Russian drones attack hotel in Kharkiv region
Russian forces launched overnight drone attacks on Ukrainian territory from two directions toward the northeastern Kharkiv and southern Mykolaiv regions.
A man was injured in Kharkiv's Zmiivka community, Rubryka reports, referring to the Ukrainian Air Force.
At about 11:30 p.m., the Ukrainian military announced the threat of Russian "Shahed" drones moving toward the Kharkiv region.
"A group of enemy drones heading toward Chuhuiv from the east!" the Air Force stated.
The airmen reported By 11:50 p.m. that another group of drones flew into the Kharkiv region from the Belgorod Oblast, Russian.
Within six minutes, the military reported the launch of UAVs from the south toward the Mykolaiv region.
The Air Force later announced a threat of tactical aviation in the east: "We observe the threat of Russia using aerial strike assets."
Attack on Kharkiv region
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported at 12:38 a.m. that drone strikes caused fires in non-residential civilian infrastructure in the Zmiivka community.
"We've recorded at least five 'Shahed' drones. As of now, no casualties. Stay in shelters! Groups of drones continue to move through Kharkiv region," he said.
Later, Syniehubov specified that firefighters were extinguishing fires in a hotel building, the summer terrace of a restaurant, and three passenger cars. A civilian security guard was injured in the attack and received medical assistance on the spot.
Other strikes damaged private residential houses, a three-story building of a recreational complex, and a dining facility.
Russian military attacks on Kharkiv region
Rubryka reported on the morning of February 7 that Russians fired rockets at the industrial zone of Kharkiv. Police determined that the missiles were made in North Korea.
"Two out of five rockets fired at Kharkiv in the morning were of North Korean origin," said the head of the Investigative Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Serhii Bolvinov.
Rubryka also reported on the evening of January 31, Russians struck Kharkiv with drones and dropped guided bombs on a hospital in the village of Velykyi Burluk in the Kupiansk district. There were casualties.
