Kyiv volunteers to host "AdoptMe Days" event to find families for stray animals
On February 10 and 11, volunteers from animal shelters will hold an event called "AdoptMe Days" at the Expocenter of Ukraine.
The event aims to find homes for stray animals from the Kyiv region, Rubryka reports.
What's the problem?
The excessive number of stray animals on the streets is a significant problem for many Ukrainian cities.
This phenomenon results from people's indifference, irresponsibility, and sometimes cruelty. People often abandon kittens, puppies, and even adult animals on the streets because they don't want to take responsibility for their care, upkeep, and offspring.
While it's natural for humans to keep pets, the uncontrolled breeding and owners' irresponsible treatment of animals, who then become lost or abandoned, constantly increases the number of stray animals.
What's the solution?
The problem of stray animals needs to be addressed comprehensively in collaboration with animal welfare, charitable, and volunteer organizations. Experience shows that cooperation with such organizations and active, caring citizens yields fruitful results.

Hostomel Animal Shelter and Penthouse organize the event to find homes for stray animals.
How does it work?
Animal shelters from the Kyiv region will participate in "AdoptMe Days" to place as many animals as possible in new families.
"By attending this event, you can give these animals a second chance at a happy life. The animals from the shelters are ready to give you their endless and unconditional love," the announcement says.
The gathering place for animals is Pavilion 4. The event will last from February 10 to 11 from 13:00 to 19:00.
