Сполучені Штати ввели нові санкції проти рф, які стосуються імпорту нафти та алмазів
On February 8, the US imposed new sanctions against Russian diamond imports, the finance ministry reports.
Treasury Undersecretary for Counterterrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson said that actions against vessels that violate Russian oil price restrictions should serve as a constant warning that the United States can and will enforce the restrictions.
Zeenit, a company based in the United Arab Emirates, was sanctioned for selling Russian Urals crude oil in November 2023 at a price of more than $80 per barrel, which it delivered on the NS Leader vessel.
Zeenit and UAE-based Talassa jointly transported several shipments of crude oil from Russia using vessels that were loaded in ports in 2023.
The restrictions also affected NS Leader Shipping, a Liberian-registered company, and Oil Tankers SCF, a UAE-based company.
The finance ministry is also issuing two new regulations implementing the G7's commitment to ban the import of Russian diamonds.
These bans are aimed at fulfilling the G7 commitments made in December 2023 to introduce phased restrictions on imports of diamonds mined or produced in Russia.
Last December, the U.S. government imposed sanctions on more than 250 individuals and organizations in Russia and other countries associated with war and with helping the Russian side circumvent previously imposed restrictions.
The US also imposed new sanctions against suppliers of military technology to Russia. More than 30 individuals and almost 200 legal entities were subject to restrictions.
The US government has announced a new package of sanctions against two dozen individuals and organizations in Iran and other countries that provided financial benefits to the regime.
