Russian missile attack on Mykolaiv damaged 71 houses
Russia's morning attack on Mykolaiv with Kh-22 missiles destroyed three houses and damaged 71 more, says governor Oleksandr Senkevych.
Two more civilian infrastructure objects, a school, and a post office, were damaged as well.
People whose homes were damaged by the explosion were offered places to resettle, but most refused, the governor said. Only one man asked for resettlement.
The number of victims has not changed. One man who was hospitalized for his injuries died in the hospital, other people who received minor injuries were treated on the spot. Another 60 residents received psychological assistance.
"Our municipal crews have been working at the site of the shelling since the morning, we have a well-established system, because, unfortunately, this is a well-known experience for Mykolaiv. The commission is examining the area."
The mayor said that there were no military objects in the radius of the attack. The missile hit the road, and a large crater was created as a result of the explosion. The gas and water supply was damaged.
On the morning of February 7, Russian forces launched 44 cruise missiles and attack drones at Ukraine.
During the attack, about 20 missiles were shot down near and over Kyiv.
