Rubryka reports from the scene of Russian attack on Kyiv: two civilians killed, 13 injured

On February 7, a massive Russian rocket attack on the Ukrainian capital caused a fire in a residential high-rise building in the Holosiivskyi district.

There were also reports of debris hitting buildings in the Dniprovskyi district. Overall, 13 residents in the capital were affected, Rubryka reports, referring to video footage of the fire shared by Andrii Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President, and Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko.

"Russian rockets. Kyiv. Another residential building. This is where they spend their money. On strikes against civilians. Ukraine needs help," said the head of the Office of the President.

According to Yermak, only joint efforts by democracies will stop Putin's crimes.

"I hope he will be asked why he is killing civilians and hitting residential buildings. Criminals should be prosecuted, not talked to," said Yermak.

In turn, the mayor of Kyiv reported that 13 people were injured in the capital in the attack.

"10 of them, including a pregnant woman, were hospitalized in the Holosiivskyi district," Klychko said.

Three people were injured in the Dniprovskyi district. Two of them were hospitalized, while one received medical assistance on-site.

According to preliminary data from the Kyiv City Military Administration, the missile strike on the Ukrainian capital caused a fire in an 18-story residential building in the Holosiivskyi district. The fire spread from the 10th to the 15th floor. A two-story auto service station is on fire, with an estimated fire area of 800 sq. m. Vehicles are on fire, and electrical networks are damaged. 13 people are reportedly injured. Emergency services are extinguishing the fire.

In Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district, two people were injured due to the missile strike. Electrical networks are damaged, and substations are out of operation. As a result, some of the consumers in the Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi districts — a total of 19,400 households — are disconnected.

During the rocket attack on Ukraine, approximately 20 rockets were intercepted near and over Kyiv.

On the night of February 7, Russia also used kamikaze drones o to attack Ukraine's territory. The air defense forces managed to down most of the drones.
