The air defense forces successfully downed 44 Russian targets, Rubryka reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the Air Force, the Russian army carried out several strikes on Ukrainian territory early on February 7, using various aerial attack munitions: strike drones and cruise, ballistic, and guided anti-aircraft missiles.

Military officials stress that as a part of combat operations, the Air Force and Defense Forces destroyed 44 aerial targets: 26 cruise Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 missiles, three "Kalibr" cruise missiles, and 15 Shahed-136/131 strike drones.
The Ukrainian forces mention that the defense against the aerial attack involved anti-aircraft missile troops, Air Force fighter jets, mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare assets.
What we know about Russian attack on Ukraine on February 7
On the morning of February 7, Russian forces launched cruise missiles of various types and strike drones over Ukraine. Loud explosions were heard in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv.
The Russian missile and drone attack on the southern city of Mykolaiv destroyed about 40 private houses. One casualty was transported to the hospital and later died in intensive care due to severe mine-blast injuries.
The Russian forces also struck the northeastern city of Kharkiv. At least four strikes hit the Kharkiv region. Impacts were recorded in the Slobidskyi city district, with damage to non-residential infrastructure. At the moment, there are no casualties reported.
According to preliminary data from the Kyiv City Military Administration, the missile strike on the Ukrainian capital caused a fire in an 18-story residential building in the Holosiivskyi district. The fire spread from the 10th to the 15th floor. A two-story auto service station is on fire, with an estimated fire area of 800 sq. m. Vehicles are on fire, and electrical networks are damaged. 13 people are reportedly injured. Emergency services are extinguishing the fire.
In Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district, two people were injured due to the missile strike. Electrical networks are damaged, and substations are out of operation. As a result, some of the consumers in the Dniprovskyi and Desnianskyi districts — a total of 19,400 households — are disconnected.
On the morning of February 7, a Russian missile hit an industrial facility in the western Lviv region, and firefighters are extinguishing the fire. According to the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, a fire area is about 300 sq. m.
