Ukrainian special forces destroy Russian radar station and attack drone equipment on Black Sea

In a successful operation, the fighters of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces destroyed a Russian radar station and equipment that helped Russia attack the south of Ukraine with strike drones.

The military facilities were stationed on one of the drilling platforms in the Black Sea, Rubryka reports.

"The operators of the 73rd Marine Center of the Special Operations Forces conducted a highly complex and effective operation in the Black Sea near the coast of temporarily occupied Crimea, swiftly acting in the potential enemy's strike zone," the military said in the post.

According to the special forces, reconnaissance revealed that the Russian occupiers were using one of the illegally seized drilling platforms (according to the Ukrainian Pravda data, it was one of the oil rigs, so-called "Boiko towers," ed.) for enhancing the operation of the Mohajer-6 drones.

The Russians installed equipment that increased the range and radius of its operation and used a Mohajer-6 drone for reconnaissance and adjusting the attacks of the Shahed kamikaze drones at critical infrastructure facilities in the south of Ukraine.

The Russian forces also installed a Neva-B surface target detection radar station on the platform. With the help of this radar, the Russians monitored the situation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

As the special forces stressed, the current special operation was conducted in the area with constant patrolling of Russian aviation and fleet.

At night, the 73rd Marine Special Operations Forces boats approached the drilling platform. After conducting special operations and clearance, the object was mined. Then, the combat group withdrew to a safe distance and destroyed the target.

The successful special operation ensured safer movement of ships and limited Russia's capabilities in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, the military concluded.

The Ukrainian Defense Intelligence units conducted a special operation, which allowed Ukraine to regain control of gas and oil platforms in the Black Sea between Crimea and Odesa. These facilities are better known as the "Boika towers."

The Special Operations Forces (SOF) are separate forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including special purpose units and information-psychological special operations.

• In the gray zone near Donetsk, the SOF troops destroyed a Russian BMP vehicle and a tank;
• Near Soledar, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated over a hundred Russian occupiers;
• SOF fighters adjusted HIMARS on the enemy REB "Sinitsa";
• On the Avdiivka front, SOF soldiers eliminated a group of occupiers;
• Soldiers adjusted HIMARS fire and eliminated the most modern Russian radar complex, "Yastreb-AV";
• SOF fighters also adjusted HIMARS to the Russian SAM "Osa" system;
• SOF also destroyed the Russian radar station "Fara."
