Children's inclusive center to be restored in liberated Dergachi in the Kharkiv region
The city of Dergachi in the Kharkiv region, liberated during the 2023 counteroffensive, now started restoring its infrastructure.
Children's inclusive hub is now to be rebuilt under the assistance of Kharkiv authorities.
What is the problem?
An inclusive center for children was created in the building before the full-scale war. However, the administrative building in the city center was damaged by Russian shelling in the spring of 2022.
What is the solution?
Authorities now want to restore the inclusive center for children in Dergachi, which was damaged by enemy shelling.
"Now, the center's specialists conduct on-site trainings and the demand for services is growing – last year they conducted more than 600 trainings," the administration reported.
How does it work?
"The announced cost of the restoration work is over $500,000," the statement said.
The restoration of this building was recognized as expedient in accordance with the requests of the population.
"The community is ready to transport students to the Center. And in case of air raid alert or the threat of shelling, the children will be able to get to the shelter provided by the building."
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 36 inclusive resource centers have been destroyed or damaged to varying degrees.
