A successful attack by Ukrainian Security Service drones resulted in a fire on February 3 at one of Russia's largest oil refineries in Volgograd.
According to a security source, two drones hit the primary oil refining unit, without which the plant will lose "a significant part of its production capacity."
"The SSU continues to systematically destroy the infrastructure used by Russia to wage war in Ukraine.
By attacking oil refineries that work for the Russian military-industrial complex, we not only cut off the logistics of fuel supplies for enemy vehicles, but also reduce the filling of the Russian budget."
The source also recalled that SSU drones recently attacked a marine terminal in Ust-Luga, Russia, and an oil refinery in Tuapse.
The day before, Russia had already lost 37% of its gasoline exports due to drone strikes on refineries. Diesel exports also fell by 23%.
The Russian Ministry of Energy does not indirectly deny the impact of the attacks on foreign trade, although it does not directly recognize it.
On the morning of February 3, explosions were heard in Volgograd, Russia: attack drones attacked the Lukoil oil refinery, causing a massive fire to break out at the plant. A drone attack was also recorded in the Belgorod region.
