The Ukrainian Air Force had previously warned that several "Shahed" drone groups were moving toward Kharkiv. Later, around 23:15, Russian drones hit civilian infrastructure in the city.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the hits happened in the Osnovianskyi district. There is no information about the wounded.

Investigators examined the sites of Russian strikes and documented three drones in the territory of the Osnovianskyi district. The buildings and premises of a civilian enterprise were damaged, and a fire occurred. There were no casualties.

Some of the Russian drones "failed to reach their targets" thanks to air defense forces, according to the head of the regional administration.

"In the Slobidskyi district, windows are broken in two multi-story buildings — in the morning, we will start closing the windows of all affected apartments," said Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. "Several cars are damaged, but the main thing is that there are no fatalities. Three people were injured — all in stable condition. This is another example of the Russian aggressor targeting residential neighborhoods where there is no military infrastructure. It's terrorism in its purest form."

In the related news, on January 30, Russian drones struck civilian facilities in Slobidskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv. The Russians launched six drones, with four confirmed hits. Four residents were injured — three men and one woman. Residential buildings, cars, and a shop were damaged, according to Syniehubov.

Overall, Russian troops conducted artillery and mortar strikes on more than 17 settlements in the region and launched a Kh-59 missile and guided bombs.

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks near Synkivka on the Kupiansk front. There, Russians, with air support, attempted to break through the Ukrainian defense. The occupiers also conducted airstrikes in the areas of Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region.

During an air raid alarm on the afternoon of January 30, Kharkiv was rocked by an explosion. Russian forces struck the Kharkiv region with rockets for the second time in a day.
