Solutions to win: Volunteers raise about ₴2.4 mln for drones for Ukrainian soldiers
In the western Lviv region, during an auction in the town of Mostyska, volunteers raised around ₴2.4 million for drones for Ukrainian defenders, Rubryka reports, citing local authorities.
What's the problem?
The importance of drones on the front line cannot be overstated. They not only facilitate combat tasks but also help fighters defeat the enemy and save the lives of our defenders.
Every donation we make to purchase drones lightens the burden for fighters. Thanks to our support from the rear, warriors are closer to achieving victory for Ukraine, a dream of every Ukrainian family.
Moreover, supporting the Ukrainian military is not just a service; it's every citizen's sacred duty.
What's the solution?
That's why an auction was held in Mostyska to support the "Birds of Victory" Charity Project.
"A record amount among communities — 2 million 353 thousand hryvnias — was raised during the auction in Mostyska, organized in support of the 'Birds of Victory' Charity Project. All the money will be used to purchase drones for our defenders," said Maksym Kozitsky, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
How does it work?
As the head of the administration noted, drones purchased with the funds raised at the auction will support fighters from the:
- 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss"
- 103rd Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
- 24th Danyl Halytskyi Mechanized Brigade
- 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade
- 7th Border Carpathian Battalion.

"We will later provide more information on how many 'birds' will be purchased, where they will fly, and how effectively they will work on the front line," said the charity foundation.
In related news, a 10-year-old volunteer from Vinnytsia Sviatoslav bought an FPV drone for the Ukrainian military using proceeds from selling self-harvested flower and vegetable seeds. A new drone printed on a 3D printer has also been developed for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Recently, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, urged Ukrainians to join the project and even build FPV drones at home.
