For reference:

It should be noted that today, January 29, Szijjártó arrived in Uzhhorod, where he met with Andriy Yermak and Dmytro Kuleba. According to the President's Office head, the negotiations will normalize Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.

Back on January 11, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary announced his visit to Uzhhorod and a meeting with his Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba. At the same time, he stated that the negotiations will also concern preparations for the meeting between Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and President of Ukraine Zelensky.

Szijjártó also informed that he had previously had a telephone conversation with Yermak, during which he stated that a high-level meeting would make sense "if it can produce results."

It should be noted that at the end of December, Orbán accepted the invitation of the President of Ukraine for a bilateral meeting. It will be the first official bilateral meeting between the two leaders since the start of the war.

According to the president, he never spoke with Orbán about a ceasefire or dialogue with dictator Vladimir Putin.
