United to win: France to supply Ukraine with 3,000 artillery ammo monthly

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk, said that Ukraine's armed forces will receive 3,000 shells from France each month.

He stated this in his interview with the NV publication.

The Ukrainian armed forces use these projectiles for their French artillery systems, specifically the self-propelled artillery installation Caesar and the self-propelled gun TRF1.

Arrangements for the supply of three thousand shells every month is one of the results of the first meeting of the Artillery Coalition in Paris.

The coalition discussed, in particular:

  • provision of artillery means to Ukraine,
  • supply of spare parts or their production on the territory of Ukraine,
  • repair,
  • improvement of the reconnaissance and fire control system of artillery units.

Havryliuk also reported that Paris has once again demonstrated the stability of its support for Ukraine.

"France plans to manufacture 78 Caesars for Ukraine, six of which will be delivered soon," he added.

For reference:

Since Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, France is one of the European countries that provides active financial and military support to Ukraine.

It recently became known that the Artillery Coalition for Strengthening the Ukrainian Army should start working in Paris on January 1, 2024, within the framework of which Ukraine hopes to receive additional Caesar self-propelled artillery installations and ammunition for them and introduce artificial intelligence into their management.

Already on January 18, an "artillery coalition" is being launched in Paris, which aims to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities against Russia. France and the USA lead this coalition, it operates within the framework of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Rammstein format.

Also, France will produce 78 Caesar art installations for Ukraine. It is noted that the Caesar self-propelled gun is the "flagship of French artillery."

Earlier, Rubryka reported that France will increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine. The possibility of strengthening cooperation in the defense sphere and establishing logistical support between the countries is also being considered.

In addition, it became known that Ukraine's armed forces' pilots will start arriving in France next year for military aid training.

Moreover, the Verney-Carron subsidiary of the French Cybergun signed a contract with "Ukrspecexport" for a record amount of 36 million euros for supplying various weapons to Ukraine.

Also, France transferred long-range missiles to Ukraine to support the offensive of the armed forces.

As reported, France provided the Ukrainian army with a powerful armored package.
