Five bodies found under rubble of Russian-attacked house in New York, Donetsk region

In the New York area of Donetsk, the debris cleanup was finally completed after nearly two weeks. The remains of five individuals were recovered from the rubble of the collapsed building.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, reported this.

On January 15, the Russian forces dropped two guided aerial bombs on a three-story building in New York. Then, as a result of Russian aggression, three people were injured, and five remained under the rubble.

"The search operation lasted almost two weeks – the rescuers found the remains of the bodies of all five victims," Filashkin said.

On January 26, throughout the day, there were 15 attacks on civilians in the Donetsk region by the occupiers, according to the police. Nine settlements, including Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Chasiv Yar, Ocheretyne village, Novobakhmutivka village, and Serebrianka, were under fire.

The Russians hit the residential sector with aviation, S-300 air defense systems, Uragan surface-to-air missiles, artillery, and drones. 65 civilian objects were damaged – 24 residential buildings, a hospital, a kindergarten, a school, shops, garages, and 33 cars.

Russia covered Krasnohorivka with artillery, killing a 60-year-old woman. One more person died as a result of the shelling of Serebrianka. As a result of a rocket attack on Novohrodivka, according to detailed information, a child was injured. 12 houses, a hospital, a shop, garages, and cars were damaged. An airstrike on Avdiivka partially destroyed a nine-story building.

In addition, on January 27, around 3:30 a.m., the occupiers directed a rocket at Sloviansk, aiming at an industrial facility. The enterprise, 4 apartment buildings, a boiler house, and a gas pipeline were destroyed. There was no information about the victims.

As Rubryka reported, 102 children were taken out of the Donetsk region within the framework of forced evacuation in one week. In particular, since January 22, six minors were evacuated from three settlements of the Toretsk community, and 21 more children remain in the community.

At a meeting of the regional Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations on January 24, a decision was made to force the evacuation of families with children from the communities of Mariinska and Ocheretynska, where a total of 72 children reside.
