A 13-year-old girl from the Kharkiv region died after being injured in a Russian airstrike on the village of Maly Burluk.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, reported that.

"Today, a 13-year-old girl who was injured as a result of Russian shelling of the village of Maly Burluk died in the hospital on January 17. The enemy struck the village with an aerial bomb," the head of the regional military administration said.

He explained that after the injury, the girl was in a coma for a long time. After the Russian shelling, the child received complex shrapnel wounds.

As Rubryka informed, on January 17, the Russian army shelled the village of Maly Burluk in the Kharkiv region.

Later, it became known that two children were injured due to the strike by the Russian Federation.

"KAB bomb hit the building of the village council in the village of Maly Burluk. Two children were injured. A 10-year-old boy had his leg amputated, and a 13-year-old girl is in the hospital with shrapnel wounds to her torso," Oleh Synehubov said.

It should be noted that due to the security situation in the Kharkiv region, the authorities introduced the mandatory evacuation of the population from the Kindrashivska and Kurylivska communities of the Kupiansk district.

For reference:

It is worth noting that as of January 12, the number of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine is 462,000. 35,000 servicemen of the Russian Guard in Ukraine ensure the work of the occupation regime.

As Rubryka wrote, to create a "buffer zone" with the Belgorod Region in the Russian Federation, Russian people called again for a large-scale offensive operation in the Kharkiv Region.

In addition, the ISW said that geolocation images released on January 20 indicate that Russian forces have captured Krokhmalne, located 20 km northwest of Svatovo.

However, ISW believes the Russian army plans to advance on Kupiansk in the coming weeks. The Russian occupying forces are not ready for large-scale offensive operations in the Kharkiv region. However, they can intensify efforts to capture the city.

Also, in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region, the capture of Krokhmalne by the occupying forces is a temporary phenomenon. Still, for Russia, this situation justifies the loss of more than 7,000 soldiers since the beginning of the year.

The commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine's armed forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the command of the Russian army did not achieve the goals it had set for itself in Ukraine in recent months.

In total, on January 26, in the area of responsibility of the "Khortytsia" Operational and strategic grouping of troops, in the Kupiansk direction, defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks near Tabaivka, Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region.
