Ukrainian intelligence hackers claim attack on Russian defense-related facility

Ukraine's intelligence has reported a successful cyberattack that has destroyed the entire IT infrastructure of IPL Consulting, a company specializing in implementing information systems in the Russian industry.

This company presented itself as one of the most modern Russian enterprises that assisted in implementing information systems, production of automotive and aircraft components, heavy engineering, equipment, and instrumentation.

"A devastating attack against IPL Consulting was carried out by DIU specialists who accessed the company's internal network and destroyed its entire IT infrastructure exceeding 60 terabytes, dozens of servers and databases.

The value of the digital data set lost by Russia is still being estimated. The damage caused to the enemy is excruciating in the context of the ongoing sanctions pressure against Russia. Moreover, dozens of Russian companies working for the defence industry of the aggressor state will suffer."

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian IT hackers have been attacking the websites of major Russian banks and government agencies.

Recently, the Ukrainian IT army paralyzed the Russian enterprise management system 1C-Rarus.

The Ukrainian IT Army hacked the Russian cloud service Bitrix24, which is used by the largest companies sponsoring Russia's war against Ukraine, including Rosneft.

Cyber units of intelligence attacked the Russian tax system and managed to destroy the entire database and its backups: from now on, Russia will not be able to fully resuscitate its institution.
