Russian drones attack Odesa: six civilians injured, apartment buildings damaged

Russian army attacked the southern Odesa again with kamikaze drones overnight on Thursday, January 25. 

Several buildings were damaged in the Primorskyi district of the city, Rubryka reports, citing the Odesa city hall.

"Odesa experienced another 'Shahed' drone attack overnight. Residential buildings were damaged again, this time in the Primorskyi district. There is no information about hospitalizations, but rescuers and medics are assisting people on the scene," the city hall's statement said.

It is also reported that municipal services will begin clearing the aftermath of the Russian strikes after obtaining permission from the emergency services.

"Odesa region is under Russian attack again. More than 80 rescuers were working simultaneously at different addresses, extinguishing fires and clearing debris. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to locals. The enemy is treacherously trying to destroy civilian facilities," the State Emergency Service's statement said.

As reported late in the evening of January 24, sounds of explosions were reported in Odesa. An air raid siren sounded in the region at 20:19 and lasted for over an hour.

Later, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, announced that the Russian army had attacked the city with strike drones, resulting in two men being injured, one with burns and the other with multiple cuts.

According to Kiper, there is damage to civilian residential infrastructure. Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs showed the consequences of the evening Russian attack on Odesa.

According to the city mayor, Hennadii Trukhanov, a residential high-rise building was damaged in the Khadzhibei district, and warehouse premises were also burned down.

In related news, on the night of January 17, Russian occupiers also attacked Odesa with strike drones. Three civilians were injured: a 62-year-old man received shrapnel wounds, and a 69-year-old woman and a 29-year-old girl were also injured.
