Russia captures Krohmalne in Kharkiv region – ISW
Russian troops advanced along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line on January 20 and captured the village of Krokhmalne, the ISW report says.
Geolocation footage published on January 20 indicate that Russian troops captured the town 20 km northwest of occupied Svatove, while Russian military bloggers had previously claimed that Ukrainian troops had withdrawn from positions near the village.
Footage shows that Russian troops have made minor advances east of Ivanivka (20 km southeast of Kupiansk).
Russian troops also advanced southwest of Bakhmut. Geolocation footage released on January 20 shows that Russian troops have advanced in a small forested area northwest of Klishchiivka (southwest of Bakhmut).
Military analysts report that Russian troops have made minor advances near the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. There are limited Russian advances southeast of Urozhayne (10 km south of Velyka Novosilka).
Positional fighting continues along the entire front line.
