Zelenska allocates $500,000 to purchase combat helicopter for evacuation of wounded

Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska funded the purchase of a helicopter for Ukraine's intelligence with the necessary medical equipment.

What is the problem?

The helicopter can quickly reach the attack site and evacuate the victims, so the decision to modernize the helicopter was made without hesitation, says Nina Gorbacheva, director of the Zelenska Foundation.

Soldiers will be provided with emergency medical aid in the air. They will have a chance to survive after enemy shelling.

"Air evacuation gives these people a chance. Therefore, I would like to thank all the benefactors who helped to purchase the helicopter, and in particular KSE students for initiating the Donate to Evacuate project," said the paramedic of the DIU with call sign "Doc".

What is the solution?

Within the framework of the Donate to Evacuate initiative from the KSE Foundation and DefDev, Olena Zelenska's foundation has allocated $500,000 of accumulated international funds to equip the medical center with modern medical equipment.

How does it work?

The vehicle is capable of conducting medical evacuation from areas within the range of Russian artillery. Estimated time of arrival at the place of call is 15 minutes after the request.

"The early start of medical care is a factor in its effectiveness. The MI-2 MSB-1 helicopter can cover a distance of up to 600 km at a speed of up to 200 km/h. We have to not only save lives, but also do everything possible to help the wounded recover as much as possible – to save limbs and prevent complications," said Svitlana Denysenko, Director of the KSE Foundation.

A helicopter should be as invisible as possible, so camouflage was applied to it. The unique pattern was created from the outlines of Ukraine and its regions. It symbolizes the unity of Ukrainians in their will to save lives and regain freedom.
