Ukrainian hackers say they stole classified documentation from 500 Russian defense institutions

Hackers from the Blackjack group, linked to Ukraine's Security Service,  hacked into a Russian state-owned enterprise and stole documentation for 500 facilities of the Russian defense ministry.

Ukrainian cyber units have downloaded more than 1.2 TB of data from the Main Military Construction Directorate for Special Objects.

According to RBC-Ukraine data, this includes more than 500 passports of Russian military facilities, including weapons arsenals, sites of anti-aircraft missile systems, headquarters, barracks located in the occupied territories, and other technical documentation.

The hackers also demolished seven servers and encrypted over 150 computers belonging to the institution's employees. Russian units were left without the entire array of data and backup copies of information.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian IT army, as they call themselves, has been attacking the websites of major Russian banks and government agencies.

Hackers have recently shut down the leading Russian enterprise management system 1C-Rarus and the cloud service Bitrix24, used by the largest companies sponsoring Russia's war against Ukraine, including Rosneft.

Cyber units of Ukraine's intelligence attacked the Russian tax system and managed to down the entire database and its backups.

The Ukrainian IT Army made a "New Year's cyber gift to the Russians" by disrupting the work of payment terminals all over Russia.
