Russian forces strike Mykolaiv region: woman and two children rescued from the rubble of their house
Over the past day, on January 15, Russian forces unleashed artillery attacks on residential areas in the southern Mykolaiv region, resulting in damages to buildings and casualties, including children.
According to Vitalii Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the morning of January 15, around 8:47, the Russians conducted artillery shelling on the town of Kutsuruby. Fortunately, the shelling killed no one in this incident, Rubryka reports.
The regional leader added that in less than an hour, the Russian occupiers targeted the village of Dniprovske within the Kutsuruby community with artillery fire. As a result of the shelling, a residential house was damaged.
Rescuers had to remove three people — a woman and two children — from the rubble. According to the Regional Military Administration, the situation unfolded as follows: one girl was hospitalized, and other wounded were receiving outpatient medical assistance. Kim added that the condition of the injured is good.
During the day, Russian forces also conducted artillery strikes on the waters near the Ochakiv community. Fortunately, there were no casualties from this shelling.
In related news, Russian forces continue to shell settlements in the southern Kherson region, affecting civilian infrastructure in Stanislav. As previously reported, Russian occupiers targeted the town of Niu York in the eastern Donetsk region, using two guided aerial bombs and launching a missile at a three-story residential building.
On January 14, Russian occupiers attacked a local firefighting unit in Stanislav with a kamikaze drone. Four firefighters were wounded in the incident.
