Ukraine welcomes SEED 3.0 grant project for small agricultural businesses

The UN Global Compact has initiated the SEED 3.0 project, offering educational and grant assistance to small and micro-businesses in the agricultural sector and related fields, Rubryka reports.

What's the problem?

To revitalize the Ukrainian economy and food security, Ukraine needs farmers. One of the ways to do that is through the support of smaller local businesses.

Owners of micro and small businesses in regions that create jobs for themselves, their families, and communities often lack current knowledge about business processes and tools.

Moreover, the state of Ukrainian business has been significantly impacted by Russia's full-scale invasion. Many enterprises were destroyed or damaged due to Russian aggression in Ukraine, forcing some to relocate to safer places and start their businesses from scratch.

What's the solution?

The UN Global Compact team in Ukraine, backed by financial support from PepsiCo in Ukraine and PepsiCo Foundation, is implementing the educational project SEED 3.0 for the third time. Mentors and lecturers help entrepreneurs elevate the business ideas of farmers to a new level.

How does it work?

The educational program SEED 3.0 provides free training in project management, finance, marketing, presentation skills, communication, etc. This helps owners of micro and small businesses scale their operations.

The top 10 projects will receive a grant of ₴100,000 each to implement their business ideas.

Registration for participation in the program is open until January 31, 2024. You can register for the program here. For more details about the project, visit https://bit.ly/41tQ5aa
