Ukrainian resistance in occupied Melitopol blows up Russian military vehicle carrying soldiers and equipment

In the occupied city of Melitopol in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian partisans detonated an explosive targeting Russian soldiers along with their vehicle.

A UAZ "Patriot" was destroyed, and four occupiers were affected, Rubryka reports, citing the Defense Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

"On January 14, 2024, a powerful explosion echoed on Gogol Street in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. As a result of a special operation carried out by Ukrainian resistance forces, the Russian occupiers' UAZ 'Patriot' was blown up," the report stated.

Along with the Moscow off-road vehicle, four occupiers sustained injuries. Streets adjacent to the incident were blocked off, and several medical vehicles arrived at the scene.

However, according to preliminary information, not all of the occupiers required medical assistance. The exact number of irreversible and sanitary losses among the Russians is being clarified.

Earlier, Rubryka reported that Ukrainian units downed two Russian aircraft on January 14. The aircraft, a long-range A-50 radar surveillance plane, and IL-22M, were flying over the waters of the Azov Sea.
