Russia's FM wife stole Ukrainian song for her skating show
Russian foreign minister's wife, figure skater Tatyana Navka, stole Ukrainian hit song "Hold" for her ice skating show.
The Ukrainian author Khrystyna Solovii intends to sue Navka.
The skater translated the Ukrainian singer's composition in Russian.
Peskov's wife also used Leontovych's legendary "Shchedryk" and Lysenko's "What a Moonlit Night" in her show.
Khrystyna Soloviy has already responded to the theft of her copyright.
The artist said she was going to sue and asked Ukrainians to spread awareness.
"I am aware that it will not be easy to convict the perpetrators. I appeal to all Ukrainians, including those abroad, to help me find and identify the legal entities involved in this "show". A Ukrainian song is a weapon. And this is the case when we must unite to defend what is ours."
This is not the first time that Russians have stolen songs by Ukrainian artists.
In the scandalous TV series "The Word of the Boy", Russians cynically used the song "My Soul" by Ukrainian singer Lily45.
