Another aid package from the Danish government for the reconstruction of Mykolaiv in more than 21 million dollars has been approved.

The press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine announced that on Facebook.

"Denmark will provide Ukraine with another aid package for the reconstruction of Mykolaiv for more than $21 million. The approval of the aid package took place during the fourth meeting of the special supervisory committee, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, the Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, and the Minister of Cooperation and Development of Global Climate Policy of Denmark, Dan Jorgensen," the message reads.

As noted, the package includes financing a project to demine agricultural lands. Cogeneration plants will also be transferred to Mykolaiv. In addition, together with UNOPS Ukraine and All Ukraine, the Mykolaiv State Agrarian University's dormitory will be reconstructed for fire safety.

Kubrakov noted that Denmark took patronage over the Mykolaiv region in the spring of 2023, since then progress has been made in the reconstruction of Mykolaiv – most of the projects within the framework of the previous aid packages have either already been completed or are progressing successfully.

In addition, with the support of the Danish government, the Mykolaiv Region Reconstruction and Development Office and Mykolaiv City Community Reconstruction and Development Office have been operational since November 2023. An office of the Danish Embassy was established in the city.

"I am personally grateful to the Danish government and Dan Jorgensen for their stable position in supporting Ukraine and Mykolaiv separately. This is an exemplary cooperation of the state, partners, and local self-government," Kubrakov noted.
