Over 80 delegations to take part in discussion of Ukrainian peace formula in Davos

Ukraine and Switzerland will hold their fourth meeting of national security advisors in Davos on Sunday, January 14, where they will discuss the Ukrainian peace formula.

"The conference, co-chaired by Federal Councillor Ignazio Cassis and the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak, aims to conclude negotiations at the level of national security advisors on the principles of strong and fair cooperation for peace in Ukraine. These principles are intended to form the basis for the next stages of the peace process," the Swiss parliament statement said.

More than 80 delegations will participate in the discussions. Key principles of the peace formula will be discussed in ten working groups, Ukrinform reported.

"Switzerland participates in working groups on nuclear security, food security, and confirming the end of the war. Following the first three meetings in Copenhagen, Jeddah, and Malta, the results of the working groups' work and the next steps will be presented at the fourth meeting in Davos," the statement added.

Ukrainian Peace Formula

During his speech at the G20 summit in November 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed the peace formula to stop Russia's full-scale invasion. Specifically, it includes:

• Radiological and nuclear security (Russia's exit from the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, abandonment of nuclear threats).
• Food security (expanding the grain initiative).
• Energy security.
• Release of all prisoners and deportees (release according to the "all for all" formula).
• Implementing the UN Charter and restoring territorial integrity and the world order.
• Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities.
• Justice.
• Ecocide: the urgent need to protect nature.
• Prevention of escalation.
• Record of the end of the war.

Later, during a press conference in Toledo following the meeting of European ministers, the EU High Representative Josep Borrell stated that the peace formula proposed by Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky remains the only reliable basis for international efforts to achieve a just end to the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine.

Support for the Ukrainian peace formula came from Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, who stated that his country supports the Ukrainian peace formula.

France may take charge of the point of the Ukrainian peace formula related to nuclear security.

The Chair of the European Commission also stated that the peace formula should be the starting point for ending the war in Ukraine.

The European Union also supported Ukraine's peace formula and the organization of a summit to begin implementing its points.
