Zelensky and Bahraini king hold first-ever bilateral conversation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa.

Volodymyr Zelensky noted that this is the first conversation between the leaders of the two states in the entire history of bilateral relations, and last year, the first visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain al-Zayani to Ukraine took place.
"I hope that establishing contacts at the highest level will open a new page in Ukrainian-Bahrain relations," the head of state noted.
The President of Ukraine and the King of Bahrain discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, global food security, and support for the Ukrainian peace formula.
Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the representative of Bahrain for the participation of the representative of Bahrain in the previous meetings of national security advisers and political advisers of state leaders regarding the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula and invited him to participate in the next event, which will be held this month in Davos.
Separately, the head of state talked about the measures Ukraine is taking to support the unhindered grain export through the Black Sea and thus ensure global food stability.
