Russian missile attack on Kyiv: death toll rises to 32
Casualties in Kyiv after Russian missile attack on December 29 has risen to 32, authorities report.
Two more bodies were found from under the rubble of a destroyed warehouse, where the missile hit.
Based on the investigative actions, the total number of people killed by the enemy missile attack on December 29 is 32, and 30 people were injured.
December 29 attack on Ukraine
Russian troops launched a massive air attack on Ukraine on December 29. During the night, they used kamikaze drones and missiles.
The enemy used about 160 airborne weapons, and a number of regions were affected.
Air defense destroyed 27 drones and 88 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles.
The attack on the Kyiv was the largest in civilian casualties.
The attack caused casualties in other Ukrainian cities:
- In Kharkiv, a missile attack on December 29 killed three people and wounded 11.
- A person was killed in Lviv as a result of an enemy missile attack. Eight wounded are also currently reported.
- In Dnipro, an enemy shelling damaged a maternity hospital, resulting in six deaths and 30 injuries.
- In Odesa, a Russian missile attack left five dead and 32 wounded.
Russia also attacked another city, Zaporizhzhia. Businesses, high-rise buildings and a private house were hit. Nine people were killed and there are injured.
On January 3, emergency rescue operations of Kyiv were completed. They had been ongoing since December 29 after a massive enemy attack. As of December 3: 53 dead, 170 injured, 18 settlements in 10 regions affected.
