NATO has strongly condemned the recent massive Russian attacks on Ukraine's territory, declaring its commitment to supporting Ukraine.

The alliance also stated that they would protect "every inch of Poland," RMF FM reported, citing NATO's press service.

"NATO unequivocally condemns Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian civilians, cities, and towns. This is yet another demonstration of Putin's attempt to break Ukraine's resolve. He will not succeed," said the NATO.

The statement mentioned that NATO members have already provided Ukraine with a wide range of air defense systems and remain dedicated to strengthening its defense capabilities.

"NATO continues to support Ukraine's right to self-defense against Russia's aggressive war. We will stand by Ukraine as long as it takes," said the alliance's press service.

The situation in Poland and the threat posed by the war to neighboring countries, including Ukraine, were also addressed.

NATO representatives noted that:

  • NATO is reinforcing its presence and readiness from the Black to the Baltic Sea, including in Poland.
  • Poland currently hosts over 10,000 NATO servicemembers and significant military potential, including NATO aircraft defending Polish airspace.
  • NATO will continue to assess its position and defend every inch of Poland, ensuring its solidarity with the country.
  • NATO officials also recalled a statement by Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg after a Russian missile violated Poland's airspace. Stoltenberg assured full solidarity with Poland.

The UK Ministry of Defense believes that Russia has temporarily shifted its approach to targeting Ukraine from a long-distance perspective, focusing more on defensive capabilities than energy infrastructure.
