14-year-old Ukrainian chess player wins international grandmaster title
By the decision of the Third FIDE Council, the title of international grandmaster title was awarded to a 14-year-old player of the Kyiv Regional Chess Federation Ihor Samunenkov.
Ihor has been playing chess professionally for eight years and has received many awards and titles during this time.

Ihor fulfilled the grandmaster standard at competitions in Slovenia, Hungary, and Poland.
The winner is the fourth youngest player to win this title in Ukraine. He is currently the youngest grandmaster in the world.
