Russian aggression has affected over 1,680 Ukrainian children

In Ukraine, more than 1,680 children were affected as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported this.

As of the morning of December 30, 2023, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 513 minors died, and more than 1,167 were injured of various degrees of severity.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported that the corresponding figures are still being determined; work is ongoing to establish them in the places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The most children were affected in Donetsk — 497, Kharkiv — 304, Kherson — 141, Kyiv — 129, Dnipropetrovsk — 105, Zaporizhzhia — 100, Mykolaiv — 97, Chernihiv — 72, Luhansk — 67.

The Prosecutor General's Office added that on December 29, as a result of massive Russian shelling of Ukrainian cities, six children were injured.

  • a 6-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl were injured in Odesa;
  • a 14-year-old boy was injured in Lviv;
  • a 15-year-old child was injured in Dnipro, and a one-and-a-half-year-old boy was also injured;
  • a 15-year-old girl was injured in Smila, Cherkasy region.

As Rubryka previously reported, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 1,664 children have been injured; among them – 512 minors have died; 1,148 have received injuries of varying degrees of severity.
