Ukrainians triple donations in 2023 compared to previous year – Monobank
In 2023, Ukrainians contributed a total of 27.4 billion hryvnias through monobank, compared to 8.5 billion hryvnias in 2022.
The bank announced this on the X social network page.

In 2023, there were 5.4 million donors, compared to only 3 million in 2022.
Additionally, the average donation amount has risen to UAH 349 in 2023 from UAH 258 in 2022.

It is worth mentioning that in the first nine months of 2023, the three biggest funds in Ukraine raised a total of 12.5 billion hryvnias. The leadership continues to oversee the United24 platform, which has also recently started fundraising for two new humanitarian initiatives since May. In December, the total amount raised by the state fundraising program United24 reached over $500 million. From January to September, the United24 platform was the largest contributor, with Ukrainian foundations collecting a total of 12.5 billion hryvnias in donations.
The Veteranka movement kicked off their New Year's project, "UkraineConnection," with a social media flash mob to bring together Ukrainians from across the globe. They have set a goal of raising 2 million Ukrainian hryvnias for the 35th Marine Brigade, named after Rear Admiral M. Ostrohradskyi.
Timothy Snyder and four professors from leading universities have raised $950,000 for the "Safe Sky" system, an air target detection system.
These funds will cover the cost of 2,500 sensors and protect the Sumy, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions from drones and missiles, according to United24.
