Russian forces injure eight in another missile attack on Cherkasy
Soon after the night attack on Ukraine, Russian forces launched a missile on the city of Smila in the Cherkasy region.
Preliminarily, there are 8 injured and 50 damaged houses, authorities report.
The missile hit the residential sector in Smila. All emergency services and authorities are working at the scene. People are being promptly provided with assistance.

Head of the military administration Oleksii Kuleba says one of the victims is in serious condition.
The overnight attack killed 26 people and wounded 120 in the massive shelling.

Russia's missile attack on Ukraine
Ukraine was attacked with 158 targets over the past night, which hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and other cities.
Air defenses downed most missile near Kyiv, however the missile killed seven civilians, hitting the warehouse.
Kharkiv was also struck with various missiles 22 times, which resulted in three dead and 11 wounded.
A round explosions also occurred in Lviv in the morning of December 29. A residential building was hit.
One person died during the attack, and eight wounded were also reported.
In Dnipro, enemy shelling damaged a maternity hospital, causing multiple casualties. One of the city's shopping centers was on fire.
The southern Ukraine was once again attacked with Shahed kamikaze drones. The shelling resulted in a hit to an infrastructure facility in Odesa, as a high-rise building in Odesa was damaged by the debris of a downed drone. Then the enemy fired 22 drones, 18 of which were shot down.
Yet, two people were killed and many wounded in Odesa in the night missile attack.
This attack was called one of the most massive air strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Russia was attacking "with almost everything it has in its arsenal." "Kinzhal," S-300, cruise missiles, drones, and strategic bombers launched Kh-101/Kh-505 rockets.
