Ukraine's IT army paralyzes Russia's largest enterprise managing system
Ukrainian hackers have disrupted the operation of one of the largest ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems, 1C-Rarus, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The system has 150,000 users, including tech giants and war sponsors like Tatneft and VTB Bank. Customers in shops and gas stations couldn't make payments, as the cash registers were down. This means millions in losses for the Russian economy, the ministry specified.
"All thanks to our cyber warriors. Want the same? It's easy! Anyone can join the IT Army and use a computer to inflict pain on Russian corporations and businesses."
1C-Rarus automates accounting, managerial, and tax accounting. It is used for automating accounting in Moscow and throughout Russia.
With its help, accounting tasks such as reflecting the movement of goods and money, settlements with personnel and clients, and creating tax declarations can be automated.
The Ukrainian IT Army has hacked the Russian Bitrix24 cloud service widely used by the largest companies sponsoring the war, including Rosneft.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian IT specialists have been attacking the websites of major Russian banks and government institutions.
