Two Russian ships flee Feodosia Bay after Ukrainian rocket attack on "Novocherkassk"
Following the strike by the Ukrainian forces on the Russian large landing ship "Novocherkassk" near Feodosia in occupied Crimea, two ships left the bay of the city.
Rubryka reports, citing "Krym.Realii" (a project of Radio Free Europe), that this happened a few hours after the strike on the port and the landing ship.
However, due to darkness and the significant distance, it wasn't possible to identify the ships. Project journalists suggest that these might have been one military ship and one military boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
What we know about Ukrainian attack on the port in occupied Feodosia
On December 26, the Ukrainian forces attacked the large landing ship "Novocherkassk" of the Russian Black Sea Fleet near Feodosia.
According to the channel "Krymskiy Veter," this ship brought Shahed kamikaze drones from Iran, which the Russian forces used against Ukraine. Later, this was also reported in the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In turn, Air Force Commander General Mykola Oleshchuk thanked the pilots and all involved for their meticulous work.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the ship was destroyed precisely by the guided missiles of Ukrainian aviation.
Spokesperson Colonel Yurii Ihnat stated that Russian forces would no longer be able to use the landing ship "Novocherkassk," which was attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
In turn, the UK Defense Secretary, Grant Shapps, noted that this event refutes claims of a supposed "blind spot" in the war in Ukraine.
