Ukrainian scouts pass the Holy Fire from Bethlehem to intelligence officers

On the eve of the holiday season, a delegation from the National Scout Organization "Plast" handed over the sacred Bethlehem Holy Fire to Ukrainian military intelligence officers. 

The fire, lit at the birthplace of Jesus Christ, symbolizes goodness, love, and warmth, Rubryka reports, citing the Telegram channel of the Defense Intelligence Directorate.

In light of the upcoming Christmas holiday during wartime, the Ukrainian scouts decided to share it with representatives of Ukrainian military intelligence.

"Now, during the war, the Defense Intelligence is a crucial institution doing much for our victory. It's important for us to share this warmth with the representatives so that they feel understood and remembered. By bringing this fire, we want to personally thank them for their conscientious and challenging work," said scout Hafiia Nahirniak.

As per their account, the symbolic fire was received by the Chief of the Defense Intelligence, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov.

In return, the head of military intelligence expressed gratitude to the scouts for their dedication, motivation, and good deeds in support of the Ukrainian military.

"The light of the fire warms our hearts, shows us the way to a better future, and your scout support adds strength, encouragement, and confidence to us," said Budanov.

Speaking during the ceremony, the chaplain of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Father Konstantin, highlighted that the Bethlehem Holy Fire symbolizes hope for peace and victory over evil.

They will pass it on to all units of military intelligence continuing to defend Ukraine from Russian invaders.

"We will spread this fire to all units within the Defense Intelligence, and in every unit, this flame will burn, reminding everyone of the upcoming Christmas holiday," said Father Konstantin.
