Ukrainian troops repel 29 Russian assaults on Kherson region’s left bank

Ukrainian forces engaged in 89 combat clashes over the past day. On the left bank of the Kherson region, where battles are especially raging, the troops repelled 29 Russian attempts to assault their positions.

The relevant report was published by the AFU General Staff.

"The enemy launched five missile and 31 air strikes, fired 53 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Russian attacks resulted in civilian casualties. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the press release said.

Tensions remain on the southern and eastern fronts.

• Russian troops maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shell settlements and increase the density of minefields along the state border.
• In the Kupyansk area, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 enemy attacks near Synkivka, east of Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region, trying to break through the defense.
• In the Bakhmut area, Ukrainian forces repelled six enemy attacks near liberated Bohdanivka, Klishchiiivka, and Andriivka.
• In the Avdiivka area, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 enemy attacks east of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka and another 18 attacks in the areas of Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske.
• In the Marinka area, they continue to hold back the enemy. Supported by aviation, Russian forces made nine unsuccessful attacks on the positions.
• In the Zaporizhzhia area, Ukrainian forces repelled four attacks west of Verbove and south of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy tried to force units out of their positions.
• In the Kherson area, the enemy shelled the regional center, Dniprovske and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region. The enemy also launched an air strike near Krynky.

Russian troops did not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units from the left bank of the Dnipro River. They made 29 unsuccessful assault attempts, received a decent rebuff, and suffered significant losses. Ukrainian units steadfastly hold the line, continuing to hold their positions and inflict fire on the enemy.
