Ukraine plans to produce one million drones by 2024 – Zelensky
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, says that one million drones will be produced in Ukraine next year.
He said this at the final press conference, Rubryka reports.
"I am positive about increasing the production of drones and creating special units, and there should also be a special infrastructure for drone management. As for production, we are making one million drones next year. We will make a million. We will do everything to make it so, and I know it will be so," Zelensky said.
At the same time, he said that he held a meeting of the Staff on Tuesday, at which a report was heard on the production and supply of drones and the issue of their delivery to the front.
"I really don't like it when logistically we still have such bureaucratic Soviet processes, when 26 thousand drones were lying in one warehouse and did not reach the front. Yes, it was discussed with the Staff. But there can be no such problems! And then they ask me what I have personally. I have nothing personal. I'm just shocked; how can something we have already produced not reach the front? But I am sure we will solve the logistics issue," the president noted.
He said that the production of 155-caliber artillery shells will also increase.
