Recorded Future, the world's largest private intelligence and analytical company, will continue to help Ukraine protect critical infrastructure from Russian military and cyber aggression in 2024. The total amount of investment in support of Ukraine next year will amount to more than $23 million.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation reported this.

What is the problem?

Recorded Future has been supporting Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. The company provided intelligence data to protect Ukraine's critical infrastructure, helped investigate Russian war crimes, and opened access to the Intelligence Cloud software platform for over $10 million.

In 2023, the company invested over $20 million in aid to Ukraine.

What is the solution?

In 2024, Recorded Future will continue cooperating with 16 Ukrainian state bodies and enterprises. Among them are the Ministry of Digital Transformation, State Special Communications, Main Directorate of Intelligence, Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense, General Prosecutor's Office, and Cyber Police. Recorded Future's tools help with early detection and remediation of cyber attacks.

How does it work?

This year, Recorded Future and CERT-UA collaborated in identifying and thwarting an espionage campaign carried out by the BlueDelta/APT28 attacker in Ukrainian government agencies. This was achievable through using Recorded Future Network Intelligence, phishing, and malware data.

It should be noted that in December of last year, the Ministry of Digital Transformation team signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the company. This made it possible to strengthen the partnership and begin joint work on creating new products and technologies to protect critical infrastructure.

In addition, Recorded Future provided its intelligence platform, dedicated engineers, and intelligence analysts as part of the MOU.

Recorded Future is a privately held cybersecurity company founded in 2009 and headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts, USA. The company specializes in collecting, processing, analyzing, and distributing information about threats. According to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, this is the world's largest private intelligence and analytical company.

For reference:

On December 12, the Ukrainian communications operator "Kyivstar" network experienced a technical failure, making communication and Internet access services unavailable to some subscribers.

One of the largest operators in Ukraine suffered a hacker attack; probably because of this, a large-scale disruption in the work of "Kyivstar" could have occurred.

The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed that a group of Russian hackers was involved in the cyber attack that destroyed the Ukrainian communications operator "Kyivstar" network infrastructure.

On December 15, it was reported that the "Kyivstar" network was recovering after the largest cyber attack in the telecom industry. Over the past day, the company's specialists restored the international voice roaming service, eliminated the problem with call interruptions, and stabilized communication in Kyiv.
