Ukrainian forces face tough challenges on the left bank of the Kherson region but are progressing by eliminating mass equipment, says Natalia Humeniuk, head of the joint press center.

She explains how Ukrainian operations on the left bank help push back enemy mortar formations so they do not threaten the communities in the liberated part of the Kherson region.

"This is a powerful complex work, which includes aerial reconnaissance, counter-battery operations, and the work of units directly on the left bank.

Indeed, this work is aimed at making life easier for local residents and reducing the number of attacks.

We know that they have been on the left bank for a long time, and they have been able to concentrate an extremely large number of personnel and equipment there. That is why the work is not easy, but it is progressing," said Humeniuk.

The work of the Ukrainian military is quite regular, powerful, and devastating for Russian resources.

On November 17, Ukrainian marines reportedly gained a foothold in several areas. During the fighting, Russian forces suffered heavy losses in manpower and equipment, having 1216 soldiers killed and 2217 wounded.

ISW analysts reported that on November 29, Ukrainian troops continued ground attacks on the eastern (left) bank of the Kherson region and reportedly advanced.

The General Staff explained the intentions to push Russian troops away from the right bank to reduce the shelling of civilians.

Russian forces often blow themselves up on their own mines and suffer losses, as the army leadership has classified maps of minefields in Ukraine.
