Ukraine's air defense successfully downs 30 out of 31 drones in Russian attack
On the night of November 16, the Russian forces launched an attack on several regions in Ukraine using 31 Shahed attack drones. Fortunately, Ukraine's air defense forces took down 30 of the enemy drones.
The Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces reported that on Telegram.
According to the airmen's reports, the enemy launched attacks on the country from three different directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Seshcha, and Kursk in the Russian Federation.
The military noted that the invaders used 31 Shahed-136/131 UAVs in the attack, which the invaders directed to different regions of Ukraine.

Repelling an air attack involved:
- fighter jets,
- anti-aircraft missile units,
- mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"As a result of combat work, 30 Shahed drones were destroyed within the boundaries of Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyi regions," emphasized the Air Force of Ukraine's armed forces.
In addition, on the last day, air defense forces destroyed 1 Kh-59 guided missile.
The missile units of Ukraine retaliated by striking:
- Four areas of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration,
- as well as two enemy ammunition depots.
As reported in the military command, during the past 24 hours, the aviation of the Defense Forces made seven strikes in the areas where the enemy's personnel, weapons, and military equipment were concentrated.

Late yesterday evening, December 15, Russian troops launched more than ten groups of attack drones from the north and south over the territory of Ukraine.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv and the region. The Kyiv City Military Administration and Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported on air defense forces' work in the capital and the region.
The Ukrainian Air Force's armed forces also warned of a ballistic missile launch by Kyiv, but upon investigation, it was determined to be a false target.
It should be noted that the Russian invaders attacked the territory of Ukraine on the night of December 15 with 14 Shahed attack drones. Ukraine's defense forces destroyed all targets.
On December 14, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Shahed drones and S-300 missiles. Air defense forces destroyed more than 40 enemy UAVs.
The initial major assault following spring occurred on November 25, as the adversary unleashed over 70 Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles to strike Ukraine, specifically targeting Kyiv.
