“Captivity kills”: Kyiv rally calls for action to save Mariupol defenders

The action "Don't be silent! Captivity kills!" was held in the capital in support of the defenders of Mariupol, who are currently in Russian captivity.

On Sunday, the action "Don't be silent! Captivity kills!" was held simultaneously in Kyiv and nine other cities of Ukraine.

The event's goal is to bring attention to the Ukrainian prisoners of war, specifically the defenders of Mariupol, who have been held captive by the Russians for over 1.5 years.

The organizers say that the action is aimed at drawing the attention of society and the whole world to the prisoners who are currently being tortured and killed by the Russians just because they defended Ukraine.

The action took place in the format of a "living corridor."

People were holding placards with inscriptions:

• "Captivity kills"
• "Return the captured Azov defenders",
• "My heart is in hell of captivity."

The participants took to the streets with posters and flags, marching from Postal Square to Park Bridge. They formed a live line near the highway to capture the attention of bystanders about this critical issue.
