The leader of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Netherlands for their strong support and valued the positive collaboration with Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
"We are grateful for the concrete and strong decisions of the Netherlands, which helped us on the battlefield, helped protect civilians, and also achieved success in ensuring the operation of an alternative humanitarian corridor," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine reported the situation at the front and the strategic goals in repelling the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation. The priority needs of the Ukrainian defenders were discussed, primarily regarding the strengthening of air defense, the provision of additional 155 mm artillery systems and ammunition, as well as the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters with the support of the Netherlands.

The conversation also centered on the alternate "grain corridor" operations and enhancing measures to safeguard it.
Volodymyr Zelensky and Hanke Bruins Slot paid attention to implementing the Ukrainian peace formula, particularly to preparing the fourth meeting at the level of security and foreign policy advisors and the Global Peace Summit. The parties discussed further steps in the creation of a special tribunal regarding the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
The head of state and the Dutch foreign minister focused on the European integration of Ukraine and preparations for the December meeting of the European Council. Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine [the parliament – ed.] is expected to adopt several European integration draft laws in the coming days.

"We are counting on a positive decision of the European Council regarding the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU. This will be a powerful motivation for our society and our defenders," the President emphasized.

The Netherlands has shown strong support for Ukraine during Russia's full-scale war. According to the Kiel Institute of the World Economy, the country has provided a total of EUR 4.088 bln, ranking 8th overall. This includes 0.615 billion Euros for humanitarian aid, ranking 6th, and 0.992 billion Euros for financial aid, ranking 7th. Additionally, the Netherlands has committed 2.481 billion Euros for military support, ranking 7th overall. These commitments show the significant effort and dedication of the Netherlands towards helping Ukraine during this difficult time.
