United to win: Umerov and Swedish army commander discuss defense production in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Sweden, General Micael Bydén. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of localization of defense production in Ukraine.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine informed the Swedish general about reforms in the ministry.
"Transparent lethal and non-lethal procurement, uncompromising fight against corruption, and localization of defense production in Ukraine are our priorities. I have expressed my readiness to share the experience of the Ukrainian army with our Swedish allies," the head of the Ministry of Defense noted.

Rustem Umerov also invited the Swedish Minister of Defense, Paul Johnson, to revisit Ukraine.
As previously reported by Rubryka, at the end of October, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov held a meeting with a delegation of members of the Defense Committee of the Swedish Parliament. The Minister of Defense expressed his gratitude to the head of the Swedish delegation, Peter Hultqvist, and the Swedish Parliament for their support and military assistance. He also invited Swedish arms manufacturers to cooperate.
