Many civilians, including children, were wounded. There is still a possibility of people being trapped under the rubble, Rubryka reports, citing a statement from Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
"Pokrovsk, Novohradivka, and Mironohrad were shelled. As a result of the attacks, ten people were injured, including four children. Police paramedics saved a baby. Five more people are still being searched for under the rubble," he said in his statement.
Pokrovsk
Among the injured is a family with two children: a 16-year-old boy and a 6-month-old baby.
A 13-year-old boy also sustained injuries. The initially recorded damage includes a multi-story building, nine private houses, a police department, cars, and garages.
"One of the shells exploded in the yard of a house where a family with two children lived. The attack destroyed the roof and walls of the house, and the family ended up under the rubble," the minister said.
A police paramedic helped a man who had a bloody baby in his arms get out from under the ruins.
"After examining the boy, the police officer wrapped him up and quickly delivered him to the hospital. There is no threat to the life of six-month-old Ilai," Klymenko added.
Novohradivka
Here, the Russian occupiers hit a multi-story building, injuring a 13-year-old child.
"At the scene of the rocket strike, police and emergency service workers continued their work. There may be another five people under the rubble, including a child," Klymenko said.
Mironohrad
The Russians targeted the city with two missiles from the "S-300" anti-aircraft missile system. The police department suffered damage.
"At the sites of the hits, the State Emergency Service and the police have been working all night. The search and rescue operation continues, and the police document the consequences of Russian strikes," the head of the ministry concluded.
As reported, an air raid alarm was in effect in Ukraine due to the danger of drones and missiles for almost the entire night.
In the Shepetivka district of the Khmelnytskyi region, fragments of a downed drone fell on the territory of a former factory. In Vinnytsia, anti-aircraft missile defense systems were activated.
British intelligence earlier suggested that starting from November 2023, Russian air forces might use 500-kilogram cluster bombs RBK-500 more frequently, as they are equipped with guided planning devices.
