Moscow court issues warrant for Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala
In Russia, the court arrested the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar singer Jamala (Susana Jamaladinova) in absentia in the case of so-called "fakes" against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This is reported by Rubryka, referring to Russian agency TASS, the Moscow prosecutor's office, and the court's press service.
"Regarding Jamaladinova, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in absentia. The criminal case will be sent to the Basmanny District Court of the city of Moscow for consideration of the merits in the absence of the accused, who is on an international wanted list," the court's press service told reporters.
The prosecutor's office clarified that Jamaladinova is charged under paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public distribution under the guise of reliable reports of deliberately false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, committed on the basis of national hatred).
According to the Russian investigation, on April 4, 2022, Jamala published a post that contained deliberately false information about the actions of the Russian army during the "special military operation" on her social network page, available for viewing by an unlimited number of people.
We will remind, as previously reported by Rubryka, in the middle of October, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put the Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala on the wanted list (real name – Susana Jamaladinova).
